ROME: Lionel Messi will headline a star-studded lineup for a 'match for peace' in tribute to fellow Argentina soccer great Diego Maradona on November 14 in Rome, organizers announced on Monday.

Notwithstanding Messi, previous Brazilian star Ronaldinho, Italian World Cup champ Gianluigi Buffon and Roma's Portuguese mentor Jose Mourinho affirmed their presence in a video distributed by the WEPLAYFORPEACE stage for the third release of the "match for harmony" coordinated by an Establishment made by Pope Francis.

The video was transferred on October 10, to imply 10/10, an accolade for the number 10 shirt worn by Maradona during his profession. His epithet was 'el ultimo Diez' (the last 10).

Previous World Cup champ Maradona passed on matured 60 of cardiovascular breakdown in November 2020.

The match will occur on November 14 at the Olympic Arena in Rome, seven days before the beginning of the World Cup in Qatar.
